Seulgi Luke Byun

Executive Director

“As a former pastor and seminary professor, I love to support people in ministry. The PRM links my vocation in the classroom with my vocation in the church.”

PRM-Team-Seulgi

A native of South Korea who grew up in Japan, where his parents still serve as missionaries, Seulgi brings keen insight into the ups and downs of church life to his position as executive director. His investment in both college and church enables him to provide essential leadership for the PRM. Chair of biblical and religious studies at Grove City College, Seulgi finds creative ways to link current pastors to the next generation of Christian leaders. He is a scholar of ancient translations of the Old Testament, a topic on which he has published for The Gospel Coalition, A Christian’s Pocket Guide to Trusting the Old Testament, and The Influence of Post-Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic on the Translator of Septuagintal Isaiah

Seulgi observes, “I’ve lived in Japan, the U.K., Israel, and the U.S. No matter where we go in the world, we see God’s hand at work. The passion of the PRM is to learn about and share with others what God is doing right here.”
